2nd Edition of the MLNR Awards Gala

 

The event took place at the Romanian Athenaeum and was held in partnership with the Romanian Academy and with the support of 12 universities in Romania.

Laureates

The “Grigore Moisil” Award for Exact Sciences was awarded to Academician Ioan Iovitz POPESCU, for the Paper “Lambda – Text Structure” published in the series “Studies in Quantitative Linguistics” 10-2011 RAM-Verlag, Ludenscheid, Germany.

The “Henri Coandă” Award for Applied Sciences was awarded to Prof. Univ. Doctor Eng. Boris PLAHTEANU, for the Paper “Nicola Tesla – Genius of Light and Energy, Integral of Inventions”.

The “Carol Davila” Award for Medicine was awarded to Acad. Prof. Doctor Laurenţiu Mircea POPESCU, for the Paper “Fundamental Scientific Research on Telocytes”.

The “Constantin Brâncuşi” Award for Art and Culture was awarded to Master Sorin ILFOVEANU, for the personal exhibition “Drawings 2008-2011”.

The “Nicolae Titulescu” Award for Diplomacy and Political Science was awarded to Mr. Mihai BOTOROG, for the Project: Coordinating the safe evacuation operation of Romanian civilians from Libya, February 2011.

The “Eugeniu Carada” Award for Economics was awarded to Doctor Cristian PĂUNESCU and Historian Marian ŞTEFAN, for the work “The Treasure of the National Bank of Romania in Moscow”.
