The First Conference of the “Leadership and Diplomacy for Romania” Program
On April 17, 2024, in the majestic Hall of the “Carol I” Central University Library, the first conference of the “Leadership and Diplomacy for Romania” program was held. Organized under the aegis of the National Grand Lodge of Romania, the event titled “From Communication to Diplomacy: Building Leaders” brought together Brothers and representatives of civil society to explore new horizons in leadership and diplomacy. The conference was opened by speeches delivered by the Most Respectable Brother Cătălin Tohăneanu, Grand Master of the MLNR, and Mircea Gheordunescu, Deputy Grand Master, who highlighted the importance of leadership and diplomacy in the current global context. Among the distinguished speakers was Radu Coșarcă, Associate Professor at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences.
In his presentation, “Leader in the Era of Communication”, Professor Coșarcă provided an in-depth analysis of the crucial role that leaders play in an ever-changing media landscape. His expertise set the tone for vibrant discussions on the strategies needed to successfully navigate the complexities of modern communication. Another highlight of the conference was the lecture by Brigadier General in Reserve, Diplomat Dr. Mihai-Liviu Dănilă, Associate Professor at CNAI and the Police Academy, former Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His speech, entitled “Approaches and Challenges for the Integrated Crisis Response Mechanism”, brought to the fore his vast experiences and knowledge in crisis management, underlining the importance of a coordinated and effective response to global challenges.
This conference offered much more than just lectures – it was a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas and the development of leadership and diplomacy skills, essential in today’s global context.
