On National Culture Day, January 15, 2026, poetry and music came together in an evening that brought the past closer to us.
Mihai Eminescu’s lyrics entered into dialogue with Paul Constantinescu’s music, in an artistic experience conceived as a meeting place between memory, emotion, and listening.
Through historical audio recordings, the voices of the great actors of the past were heard again, restoring the living connection between words and music.
Remarkable performers from different repertoires and sensibilities came together on stage, united by their respect for culture.
The highlight of the evening was provided by the soloists of the Romanian National Choir, in a performance of Four Madrigals on verses by Mihai Eminescu, a sonic meditation on nature, silence, and reflection.
An evening about memory.
About continuity.
About culture that remains alive when it is shared.
