When young people excel, the future takes shape
In recognition of their achievements in education and culture, the Grand National Lodge of Romania has once again honored young people who carry forward the ideal of excellence. On October 10, 2025, in the elegant hall of the Corviniana Cultural Center in Hunedoara, the ninth edition of the Hunedoara Excellence Gala took place, dedicated to the most deserving Olympians, as well as the teachers who guided them on their path to success.
The event was organized with the involvement of associations from Hunedoara County:
• The Sacred Book Association
• The City of Light Association
• The Iancu de Hunedoara Association
• The Brotherhood of the Nation Association
• The Mistria Association
• The Sarmizegetusa Association
• The Ulpia Traiana Association
• The Jiu Valley Association
• The Zalmoxe Association
• The Neboisa Chapter Association
The nine Olympians were honored for their effort, passion, and dedication, alongside their mentor teachers, who were recognized for their essential contribution to educating new generations. Cătălin Tohăneanu, president of the Grand National Lodge of Romania, spoke about the significance of the moment and the inspirational power these young people convey to the community.
The gala was complemented by artistic performances by the Transylvanian Festival Orchestra, conducted by maestro Cristian Lupeș, director of the Sibiu Philharmonic Orchestra.
Through such events, the Grand National Lodge of Romania reaffirms its commitment to education, culture, and human values—the foundation on which the future is built. When excellence is recognized and young people are encouraged to dream, Romania has a future.
