There are places that are not mere decorations, but witnesses to history. On September 13, 2025, under the symbolic archway of the Constanța Casino, the Dobrogea Excellence Gala brought together education, culture, and civic responsibility in an evening dedicated to recognizing authentic achievement.
Organized by the Grand National Lodge of Romania, the Gala was conceived as a public affirmation of the values that shape the future: rigor, vocation, moral continuity. Not a celebration of ephemeral success, but a tribute to work that leaves a lasting mark.
Education as a form of continuity
The evening began with a message from Grand Master Cătălin Tohăneanu, who emphasized excellence not as an isolated achievement, but as a lucid investment in younger generations. The speech reaffirmed education and culture as pillars of a coherent society, capable of building its future without losing its identity. The message was clear: where excellence is consistently supported, the community strengthens its direction.
Art, the solemn language of values
The artistic dimension of the series was supported by the Oleg Danovski Theater Orchestra, with a high-quality program from the universal classical repertoire. From the overture to the opera Carmen (Georges Bizet) to moments dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi and Johann Strauss I, the music created a solemn and coherent setting—without excess, without ostentation: only rigor, balance, and controlled emotion.
Renowned opera singers performed works by Bizet, Gounod, Verdi, Offenbach, Brahms, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Rolf Løvland, with the performances seamlessly integrated between the premiere moments.
High-achieving young people in the spotlight
The highlight of the event was the award ceremony for deserving students from Constanța County, selected by the Constanța County School Inspectorate. The event conveyed an important message: genuine achievement deserves to be recognized, encouraged, and supported—as an expression of hard work, discipline, and dedication.
A community effort, a shared responsibility
The gala was organized with the support of the Constanța County School Inspectorate and the active involvement of organizations that support education and culture in the region: the Pontic Dignity Association, the Knights of Pontus Euxinus Association, the Pythagoras Association, the Tomis Association, the Colosseum Association, the Glykon Association, the Knights of Constanța Association, and the Knights of Mircea Association.
Through this extensive collaboration, the Dobrogea Excellence Gala has emerged as a solid community initiative, built on responsibility, continuity, and respect for true value—confirming that excellence is not an accident, but the result of a collective commitment.
