On September 19, 2025, the municipality of Râmnicu Vâlcea hosted the fourth edition of the Gala of Excellence in Education – Vâlcea, an event dedicated to recognizing performance, character, and civic responsibility. The event was organized under the auspices of the Grand National Lodge of Romania, through the “General Magheru 68” and “Anton Pann 273” Associations, in partnership with the Vâlcea County School Inspectorate.
During the gala, students with outstanding results in national competitions and contests during the 2024–2025 school year were awarded prizes in fields such as mathematics, computer science, science, modern languages, arts, civic culture, and projects with social impact.
The funds for the awards were raised through a charity event organized earlier, by auctioning items donated by Romanian sports and cultural figures, with the support of the local business community. The edition also included a special prize offered by the Ministry of National Defense: a training camp by the sea for 45 students from Valcea, as a form of alternative education and personal development.
Through this gala, the Grand National Lodge of Romania reaffirms its mission to support education, honor merit, and cultivate social responsibility. Through education, we carry the Light forward.
