Although the Grand Lodge has recently started various actions with impact in Civil Society, the Awards Gala of the National Grand Lodge of Romania managed to capture attention for the way in which this high-profile event was held.
Laureates
- The “Grigore Moisil” Award for Exact Sciences went to Mr. Gheorghe Păun, corresponding member of the Romanian Academy.
- The “Henri Coandă” Award for Applied Sciences went to Prof. Dr. Petre Teodorescu, member of the Academy of Technical Sciences, professor at the University of Bucharest.
- The “Carol Davila” Award for Medicine was awarded to Prof. Dr. Dafin Fior Mureşanu.
- The “Eugeniu Carada” Award for Economics was awarded to Prof. Dr. Bogdan Murgescu, Faculty of History, University of Bucharest.
- The “Nicolae Titulescu” Award for Diplomacy/Political Science went to Mr. Marius Lazurcă, Ambassador of Romania to Chişinău.
- The “Spiru Haret” Award for Education/Environment/Social was awarded to Prof. Dr. Marian Vasile, from the Institute for Research on the Quality of Life within the Romanian Academy.
- The “Constantin Brâncuşi” Award for Art/Culture was awarded to the critic from Iași, Mr. Valentin Ciucă.
