An evening under the sign of Light<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The first edition of the NGLR Ball at the Bucharest National Opera<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

There are evenings that pass. And there are evenings that remain. September 20, 2025<\/strong> undoubtedly falls into the second category: an evening when tradition, culture, and brotherhood came together under the sign of Light, marking a milestone in the recent history of the National Grand Lodge of Romania.<\/p>\n\n

Hosted by the Bucharest National Opera<\/strong>, the event marked a double symbolic milestone: the opening of the Masonic Year 6025\u20136026 and the start of the Jubilee Year, which celebrates 145 years since the Enlightenment in Romania (1880\u20132025)<\/strong>. A bridge across time, built on memory, rigor, and vision. <\/p>\n\n

Culture as a form of continuity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Under the vision of Grand Master C\u0103t\u0103lin Toh\u0103neanu, 2025 has been proclaimed the “Year of Culture in NGLR.”<\/strong> This choice is not accidental, but deeply meaningful: a tribute to the values that give substance to national identity, in full harmony with the celebration of the 175th anniversary of Mihai Eminescu’s birth.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

In this context, the NGLR Ball has become more than just a social event. It has become a living bridge between the rigor of Masonic tradition and the depth of Romanian culture, between spiritual discipline and creative freedom. <\/p>\n\n

The harmony of the arts, under the baton of excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Designed as a Viennese Ball Evening<\/strong>, the event brought together over 500 guests\u2014Brothers, foreign delegates, and dialogue partners\u2014in a setting of high artistic quality.<\/p>\n\n

Under the baton of maestro Daniel Jinga<\/strong>, the Orchestra, Choir, and Ballet of the National Opera created a soundscape of rare elegance, in which every detail was measured and every emotion was allowed to express itself.<\/p>\n\n

The audience was treated to masterpieces of universal lyricism, performed by internationally renowned voices:<\/p>\n\n
