On an evening steeped in culture, the Sibiu State Philharmonic hosted the third edition of the Sibiu Excellence Gala, an event dedicated to recognizing individuals who, through their work, contribute to the development and prestige of the Sibiu community. <\/p>\n\n<p>The festive atmosphere was complemented by the presence of the Bucharest Metropolitan Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Jinga. The musical interlude underscored the solemn nature of the evening and provided the perfect backdrop for celebrating civic engagement and achievement. <\/p>\n\n<p>The event was hosted by actress Alexandra Velniciuc, whose presence naturally complemented the cultural atmosphere of the evening.<\/p>\n\n<p>Awards received<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mircea Vulc \u2013 coach (1990\u20132007) and director of the CSU Sibiu Basketball Club (2000\u20132015)<br\/>Laudatio: Floca Hora\u021biu, former director of the CSU Club (2016\u20132024)<br\/>The award was presented by: Gabriela Cristea, representative of the co-organizing associations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prof. Teodor Tulpan \u2013 Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu<br\/>Laudatio: Dr. Florin Mardale<br\/>The award was presented by: Paul Varga, manager of the gala&#8217;s main sponsor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Constantin Ilea \u2013 artist<br\/>Laudatio: Dr. Iulia Medea, Doctor of Art History<br\/>The award was presented by: Sebastian Dombi, representative of the co-organizing associations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prof. Constantin Chiriac, PhD \u2013 President of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS)<br\/>Laudatio: Vasile \u0218irli, composer and music producer<br\/>The award was presented by: Birt Teodor, Public Administrator of the Municipality of Sibiu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prof. Dr. Emeritus Eng.
