The MLNR Awards Gala aims to promote and reward the creative, innovative, and inventive spirit of the Romanian people in areas that are vital to our collective destiny.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
The MLNR Awards Gala aims to stimulate and develop knowledge in any field of research, including the social sciences and humanities, through both fundamental and advanced research into complex issues, by acquiring new knowledge about phenomena and processes, and by formulating and validating original hypotheses, conceptual models, and theories.<\/p>\n\n
The MLNR Awards Gala aims to promote original research and increase research capacity, with favorable implications for the international competitiveness of Romanian research.<\/p>\n\n
7 awards each year<\/h3>\n\n
Every year, on June 21, MLNR awards seven prizes of \u20ac10,000 each at a ceremony held at the Romanian Athenaeum for the following areas of excellence:<\/p>\n\n

The Grigore Moisil Award for Exact Sciences;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The Henri Coand\u0103 Award for Applied Sciences;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Carol Davila Award for Medicine;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The Constantin Br\u00e2ncu\u015fi Award for Art and Culture;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The Nicolae Titulescu Award for Diplomacy and Political Science;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The Eugeniu Carada Prize for Economics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The Spiru Haret Award for Social, Environment, Education.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n
The awards are named after prominent figures in the field who belonged to the most respected brotherhood in the world\u2014Freemasonry.<\/p>\n\n
The awards are granted to all Romanian citizens residing or not residing in Romania, regardless of gender, religion, or age, Freemasons or non-Masons, who, during the year prior to the award ceremony, have produced a work, discovery, invention, or innovation, or have proposed a theory, theorem, equation, developed a technique, method, or process with a macro-social impact in one of the seven award categories, or through the exercise of their profession or public office, have rendered important services or benefits to the country.<\/p>\n\n
Special mention should be made of Mr. Remus Borza, Grand Master of Honor of the Grand National Lodge of Romania.<\/p>\n\n
